Mikkean Photography truly believes each little bundle is a miracle from above. From his or her tiny little features to the relationship that is blossoming between your new baby and you as parents, to the new bonds being developed between a new infant and an older child. These first moments with your new baby are some of the most precious moments in life and we want to capture these special moments for you to have for a lifetime. Our studio is located within our home and provides you with an intimate setting for your baby to photographed. You'll feel completely at home during your newborn session. As a parent herself, Keely understands that a new baby may need to be nursed, bottle fed, changed, and even cuddled for a bit to be calmed. Our studio temperature is warmer during newborn sessions to ensure your sweet little one is comfortable.

Many of Keely's clients choose to follow their maternity photography session with a newborn photography session. Newborn baby portraits should occur when the infant is 14 days or younger. Newborn photography is much easier the younger the baby is as they are much sleepier and curl better allowing us to create the best newborn portraits. Sessions take place in Mikkean Photography Orange Park residential photography studio located near Jacksonville's OakLeaf Town Center. Photographing your baby naked we feel best captures your new baby. While the session is all about your new infant, we encourage parents and siblings to participate, too. Both mother and infant portraits and father and infant portraits are taken along with beautiful photographs of your newborn and siblings. After your baby is no longer a newborn, the fun begins! Capture each of the stages your baby goes through in photographs during your baby's first year. Baby photographs during the first five or six months, are best captured in the studio. Once your baby is able to sit unassisted, you may choose from studio or a on-location session for your baby's portraits. Each of your baby's milestones is a great time to capture the changes that have taken place with your baby since the last milestone. Baby's first birthday photography sessions are a perfect way to document a one year birthday celebration and it is a great time to photograph your baby standing or walking.
